FIVE STARS FOR JACKALOPE! Sally deserves her top notch rating as a host. The Jackalope Suite was perfect for me. It reminded me of the first flat I lived in during my time in Paris as a young women, so comfortable in a new place. The memory was profound and I was right at home from the beginning of my stay. I will absolutely return. Thank you Sally!

FIVE STARS FOR THE BLOCKHOUSE SUITE! This is a great place- so characterful and individual. It's comfortable, quiet and private- I felt safe here as a solo female traveler. It's right downtown within walking distance of coffee spots and stores. The deck outside is a nice touch. Sally gave prompt and clear instructions and the place was easy to find. A really fun local spot that gives you a feel for real San Angelo.

FIVE STARS FOR THE BLOCKHOUSE SUITE!
The proximity to the downtown strip & hospital are fantastic if you’re there for either one. It’s about a 3min drive from the main downtown strip. Once Chadbourne street construction is finished, it might be even less. If you come for the rodeo, it’s about a 5-6min drive. As for the apartment, there is a private entrance with a deck and it was super quiet. It looked exactly like the pictures and Sally was super prepared with check-in communication. Instructions are very clear. There’s a kitchen full of appliances and cooking gear, but the place is so close to several restaurants, I ate out the whole time. Shower had good water pressure & the water got hot quickly. TV easily did AirPlay so I was able to watch whatever I wanted without having to log into anything. Also, they have hooks for things like robes, purses, jackets, etc. So many airbnbs don’t have hooks & they had a ton! I would stay here again!

A scene in San Angelo waaaay back when. I'm not sure of the date but maybe ... 1890? I wonder if perhaps they are at Fort Concho. It's quite a photo! EDIT: Confirmed ... it's Fort Concho, on the parade grounds.
