Meet Jay Lopez, founder of Tried & True Goods — the leatherworker behind the handcrafted pieces you'll find in our lobby. 🧵

It started with one wallet, one birthday, and zero leatherworking experience. Jay taught himself — cutting apart thrift-store leather jackets to practice, hide by hide, until he got it right.

His first finished piece went to his father-in-law, who carried it every single day — until he passed away at 97. Today, his grandson carries that same wallet.

That's where Jay found the words that define everything he makes: "You never own one of my wallets. You take care of it for the next generation." Every piece is built the same way — good materials, made with intention, meant to age with you. And every piece comes with a lifetime warranty.

Catch Jay live in our lobby, crafting and selling his goods on Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm and
Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm.
