I-35 BAR EXCHANGE - TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 | Our friends from Austin are making the trip down I-35 next week! Join the Sternewirth at Hotel Emma, thebaratmixtli, and Bar 1919 teams as we welcome Nickel City, Murray’s Tavern, thehaciendaatx, and Modern Bar to celebrate the shared hospitality that’s long connected our two bar communities. Our guests of honor will be sharing their craft and mixing up specialty cocktails across the city, in partnership with some of our favorite spirits, liqueurs, and beers. The day’s festivities kick off at Sternewirth at 3pm, and continue into the evening at The Bar at Mixtli and Bar 1919.

Our menu’s Alkoholfrei (German for “non-alcoholic”) section is a reminder that great cocktails aren't defined by proof alone. Bright citrus, fresh herbs, botanical spirits, and house-made ingredients come together in our curated selection of zero-proof drinks like the classic “Prohibition Punch.” This sweet-yet-tart concoction is made with grapefruit, lemon, honey, strawberries, peach bitters, and sparkling water — inspired by the historic Pearl Brewery’s Prohibition era, when President Emma Koehler kept her business running by producing ### Pearl “near beer” with little or no alcohol content.

Located just two miles up Broadway from Hotel Emma at , the Witte has long been recognized as our city’s top museum, with inspiring experiences that explore Texas history, natural science, and cultural heritage. Join us all day this Friday for specialty cocktails made with Shiner Texas Spirits and a toast-worthy opportunity to give back — $3 from each featured cocktail sold will be donated to the Witte. Join us at Sternewirth on Thursday from 3-8pm for signature cocktails featuring the new Hotel Emma Single Barrel Arette Reposado and Hotel Emma Zancudo Ensamble, crafted in collaboration with the AXNO team. Then keep the celebration going at Stable Hall's Latin Dance After Party kicking off at 7pm. ¡Salud!

DID YOU KNOW… the wrought iron “###” that greets you at our front entrance is made from parts of the fence that once surrounded the Pearl Brewery’s original administration building? In the Middle Ages, European monks used “Xs” to distinguish the quality of the brews crafted in their monasteries. When Pearl Beer made its debut in 1886, the age-old symbols were featured in the bottle branding as proof of Pearl’s especially high caliber. The “X” design element can be found all throughout the Emma property, from the Expo Kitchen’s range hood to the vintage wooden trim adorning the reception desk.

Tequila has long been an integral part of the culture and traditions of South Texas, and it's a passion our team proudly shares. Our travels to Jalisco and partnerships with some of the most respected master distillers in Mexico have led to four exclusive Single Barrel tequilas, bottled just for Hotel Emma. Join us for a pour of one of our proprietary agave spirits: the Single Barrel Tequila Corazon Reposado, the Single Barrel Caballito Cerrero Destilado de Agave Reposado "Isleta Barrel,” and the Single Barrel El Tequileño Añejo and Extra Añejo, available only at Sternewirth. Look closely and you’ll find each bottle bears its own custom Hotel Emma mark, from Corazon’s leather-strung Emma medallion to Caballito Cerrero’s hidden Sternewirth shield revealed under black light.

Join us at our tavern for $15 classic and frozen Espresso Martinis, crafted in partnership with our friends at Carabuena Tequila | Live Your Best Side™️, Still Austin Whiskey Co., and Pulp Coffee Roaster. The Pulp team will be with us from 4-7pm to share complimentary coffee samples, followed by a performance by Sternewirth Sessions favorite Diego Martinez from 5-8pm. WORLD CUP WATCH PARTIES AT STERNEWIRTH | Football's biggest week is here! Join us at Sternewirth as we screen both FIFA World Cup™ Semifinals (Tuesday, July 14th and Wednesday, July 15th starting at 2pm) and the Final on Sunday, July 19th (also starting at 2pm), in partnership with Jim Beam, Michelob ULTRA, and Stella Artois. We'll be opening the bar early at noon for the weekday semifinal matches, and each watch party features our specialty cocktail menu and our resident DJ Chacho setting the soundtrack. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Come raise a glass to the beautiful game!
