The adventure starts when you rock up to our psychedelic building just two blocks from the beach in the heart of Ocean Beach. One of the only remaining true southern California beach towns, OB embodies the Beach Boys vibe, with local pubs, cheap grub, surfing, surfers and barefoot locals. Our hostel staff are all locals and love to share their favorite spots for hanging out, making friends and sur

fing. The hostel was purchased by USA Hostels in 2014 and just completed a total makeover, with all new bunks, rooms, beds and more. While we’re all shiny new on the outside, we’re still the same fun and laid back hostel at heart. We want your stay to be totally cool and to help that happen we have free beach bonfires with free treats and hot dogs, cheap surfboard and body board rental and loan beach chairs, umbrellas, mats, towels, even coolers! We may even have a bottle of sunscreen to hand out. Top it off with a free shuttle to our downtown location, the Zoo, Seaworld and the airport and we are definitely the best value in town!
