Bedda Mia, new restaurant in Santa Cruz, close to downtown. Quite the good food and the service is fantastic. We are both fans of great service, which makes a meal so much better. Two brothers from Sicily, and we agree, their food is great. We did not think that bruschetta was that spectacular, but the short rib spinach raviolis were awesome. And, my carbonara was honestly just amazing. And I am saying that after have traveled Europe for two months including Italy. They do not add cream (which lots of restaurants do) to the carbonara and it was just plain delicious. I did add the spek and that made it even better. There are not a lot of great places downtown, so go check this one out!!

Great pre dinner drinks at this lovely new bar in San Francisco - awesome bar tender and the drinks were original and delicious! Hubby is very picky with his "Old Fashioned", but he loved his.
Go try them out when in the city!

It has been a while, but I will try to be more active on this lovely page. A night in San Francisco is always wonderful! There are quite some new restaurants which opened up during Covid, and we tried the lovely La Sorella, Sorella (‘sister’ in Italian) a casual restaurant and bar from the team behind San Francisco’s two-Michelin-star restaurant Acquerello. We had reservations, which is a need, and we were greeted with a big smile and we were seated fast. The food was delicious!! Great service, (we did not know we were being waited on by the owner) great portions, and we could take our time and were not rushed. Absolutely worth giving them a try!

If you’ve never been to Ano Nuevo, it’s worth the field trip. Book your trip with a marine biologist and enjoy these crazy animals! Best time of year is January to early February. They are often booked fast, so make your reservations way ahead of time!

We changed it up and visited Tony’s seafood in Tomales Bay. The clam chowder was outstanding as was the ceviche bruschetta. Oysters weren’t as good though. Still a fun place to hang and have a beer!

On the Santa Cruz wharf - Makai. Great place for a Happy Hour cocktail and appetizers. Their poke bowl and pulled pork sliders are the bomb! 👌🏼

Indeed a shack, the best oyster shack in town!
Marshall’s store has been a long time favorite and has never ever disappointed. Fresh from Tomales Bay bbq-ed to your liking! 😋
