Breakfast is served.

This is our famous avocado toast on housemade sourdough, with a warm, runny soft boiled egg on the side. Breakfast at the Tivoli features a 3 course meal of homemade scones, yogurt and fruit parfait, and entree of your choice. Always delicious, always included with your stay.

Step into Operatic Elegance that is The Luisa Tetrazzini Suite ✨

We’re proud to feature the Luisa Tetrazzini Suite, named in honor of the internationally celebrated soprano who once graced San Francisco’s stages—and was a guest in this very home.

From 1898 to 1917, the second owner of Chateau Tivoli was the remarkable Mrs. Ernestine Kreling, a pioneering woman in the city’s cultural scene. Ernestine owned and operated the Tivoli Opera House on Eddy Street, the first theater on the West Coast dedicated exclusively to opera. Though the building was tragically lost in the 1906 earthquake, its legacy lives on within these walls.

Ernestine was married to two Kreling brothers in succession, and later to the colorful impresario William “Doc” Leahy, who helped discover and promote stars like Luisa Tetrazzini. Under their stewardship, the Kreling home on Steiner Street became a gathering place for world-renowned performers.

Today, we honor that legacy by naming several of our rooms after these illustrious guests.

The Luisa Tetrazzini Suite offers not just comfort, but a true brush with musical history and is beckoning you to come add to her charm.
