Our organization is comprised of 2 nonprofit entities: the Marines’ Memorial Foundation, a 501c3, and the Marines’ Memorial Association, a 501c19 veterans’ organization. Since 1946, Marines’ Memorial Club has honored the legacy of military service through a living memorial, hotel, and theatre that both serve and commemorate Veterans of all eras. Offering exceptional lodging and dining with sweepin
g views of San Francisco, the Club stands as both a historic landmark and a renowned hospitality institution. Membership in the Marines’ Memorial Club is open to all former, active duty, and veterans who served honorably in all branches of the United States Armed Forces. Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, just off Union Square and the cable cars, this handsome Beaux Arts-style building offers an inviting club atmosphere that is rich with history. The club offers 138 first class guestrooms, elegant and spacious suites, a rooftop restaurant and bar, the 564-seat Marines’ Memorial Theatre that was once home to the legendary Actors’ Workshop, and exquisite ballrooms for meetings or special events. Guests can also explore historic exhibits featuring artifacts of American military history from all eras and a library filled with books, all of which have been generously donated by grateful members and supporters. The hotel itself is owned and operated by the Marines’ Memorial Association, a 501(c)(19) Veterans Non-Profit Organization and the Marines’ Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. The Marines’ Memorial Association and Foundation depend on donations to fulfill our mission in honoring the heroes of the past while preparing and supporting the leaders of the future. Donations can be made by anyone including members, non-members, businesses, organizations and foundations, and can be made in honor or in memory of a loved one. Donations can be directed into a few different areas of one's choosing, our: scholarship fund, gold star parents event, living memorial preservation, commemorative and educational programs, or a general fund where we choose the area of greatest need. All donations made to Marines' Memorial Association are tax deductible per the IRS because the Association complies fully with IRC 170(c)(3) of the US Tax Code, as an IRC 501(c)(19) Veterans Organization with a Federal EIN of 94-1055967. The Marines’ Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, a more accessible avenue for those unable to contribute to the Marines' Memorial Association, has an EIN 45-5261064. Together, through our programs and initiatives, we wish to honor the heroes of the past by preparing and supporting the leaders of the future.
