Forty-nine beams of light rise above Civic Center Plaza, representing each of San Francisco's 49 square miles. Created by Illuminate, this striking public art installation features multicolored beams through July 4, culminating in a special red, white, and blue display for Independence Day. From the 46th floor of Cityscape Sky Bar, take in the light beams rising into the night sky while sipping a Stardust, our specialty cocktail with sparkling prosecco and edible shimmer that captures the same sense of celebration as the installation.

Visible from Cityscape Sky Bar looking north toward Fisherman’s Wharf, the SkyStar Observation Wheel rises 150 feet above the waterfront and becomes especially noticeable after dark as its lighting shifts above the Bay. The wheel adds another layer to the nighttime skyline, joining the Bay Bridge, Coit Tower, and waterfront ferries moving across the harbor below.
