Yes, it's an inexpensive place to stay like most hostels, however it's much more personal than that. This place is an intensely social community of international travelers where fun loving communally minded travelers are continually welcomed and end up leaving as friends. Everyone here, including the manager and volunteers, get to know each other very well. Rather than superficial guided tour type

activities, here you will feel like you're visiting friends and experiencing the real San Francisco. All it takes is showing up with an open mind and allowing yourself to become immersed in our community.
