What am I being asked to give right now that I no longer have the capacity to offer?

Limits are not moral failures. They are signals. When we ignore them, service becomes resentment and care becomes obligation. Self care is how we listen to those signals before they turn into burnout or disconnection.

The kids are out of school, summer calendars are filling up, and if you’re looking for something your whole family will genuinely enjoy together… Family Weekend at The Oaks is it!

Join us July 17–19 for a weekend full of campfires, s’mores, relay races, pool time, crafts, farm friends, and intentional moments designed to help your family reconnect and have fun together.

We’ve taken all the best parts of classic summer camp and paired them with meaningful experiences, beautiful accommodations, and space for both kids and parents to slow down and enjoy the weekend.

This is the kind of summer memory your family will talk about long after the season ends.

Whether you’re craving more quality time, a little reset, or simply something different to do this summer, there’s a place for you here.

What happens to the people and work I care about when I run myself past my limits?

Caring for yourself is not about opting out or doing less for others. It is about recognizing that exhaustion quietly erodes generosity, patience, and presence. Stewardship asks us to tend what has been entrusted to us, including our own bodies, minds, and hearts.

2026 held a little bit of everything.
Big moments. Unexpected pivots. Wins worth celebrating. A few things you’re still processing. Probably at least one week where you survived entirely on caffeine and crossed fingers.

Before rushing into “new year, new me” mode, what if you actually gave yourself space to look back at the year you just lived?

A Year in Review Weekend at The Oaks is part reflection, part reset, and part figuring out why we keep putting random things on our calendars that exhaust us. Together, we’ll slow down long enough to notice what gave us life in 2026, what drained it, and what we want more of moving into 2027.

We’ll talk rhythms, priorities, relationships, goals, and the patterns we tend to repeat, all with a little more curiosity and a little less pressure.

Because moving into a new year intentionally feels a whole lot better than sprinting into January already overwhelmed.

For many people, not feeling enough shows up as constant self monitoring.

Am I doing enough?Am I providing enough?Am I handling this well enough?
What would it feel like to stop measuring myself, even briefly?

Constant evaluation keeps the nervous system on edge. Strength is often associated with endurance, but real steadiness comes from knowing when you no longer need to perform for worth.

The details matter around here.

At The Oaks, we want walking into your room to feel like an exhale. Like someone already thought about what you might need before you even arrived.

Fresh linens. A cozy bed after a long travel day. Thoughtful touches waiting for you. Little things that quietly say, “you can settle in now.”

Because retreats are not just about the sessions or the schedule. They are also about creating space to rest, reconnect, and wake up feeling a little lighter than when you came.

We love making every room feel warm, welcoming, and ready for whatever kind of weekend you need.

Come experience it for yourself at one of our upcoming retreats. Full 2026 lineup is waiting for you at the link in our bio.

Where do I sense life asking for more honesty or space right now, even if I am tempted to hurry past it?

Many of us keep moving because slowing down feels risky. And yet clarity often arrives when we stop trying to manage the moment and instead listen for what is quietly unfolding. This question is not about fixing anything. It is about noticing what is already alive and waiting for attention.

Need more than a moment? Check out our full lineup of retreats and workshops especially curated to get you where you want to be.

What makes this place different is how easy it is to be side by side.

Connection tends to happen more naturally when people are not facing forward in rows. Walking, sitting, or talking shoulder to shoulder lowers pressure and opens conversation. Trust builds quietly, without forcing it.

Vitality sometimes fades not because life is wrong, but because it has become too narrow.

A thought to sit with is this: Where might my life be asking for a little more spaciousness or curiosity?

Expansion does not always require change. Sometimes it simply asks for permission to see differently. A wider lens can soften pressure and reintroduce meaning where it once felt absent.

If this feels familiar, our retreats are built to support that kind of gentle reorientation.
