Meow! Magick is real! Moms just about to drive over and SURPRISE a sweet little old lady she’s never met with some summer honey & lotion bars! Back story... A dear friend shared a neighbor of hers is selling candle making supplies for $100 (see left pic; valued at much more). After speaking with mom she decides to donate the supplies to our bee non-profit. So generous! In return, she’s about to get a sweet surprise in return. Meow meow so exited purr!!!! 🐝❤️🙏🏻 🐝

Meow! Love is in the air! Do you love lavender? So do the bees! By adding sweet local honey to dried lavender blooms, something magical begins! Bee warned: these honey-lavender biscottis may break hearts by disappearing fast!

Why do bees love lavender? The fragrant plant is irresistible with abundant pollen and nectar to feed them! Lavender blooms during a midsummer gap when pollen and nectar supplies are very low, and when “the girls” are their hungriest! Meow! Imagine my day playing with fire to make dinner for you? You're welcome! This Honey Brined Smoked Turkey recipe was created for my dad; a fireman who shares Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at the fire house. These old guys are notorious for making amazing meals together. A big secret is to use very dark honey in the brine, in which the turkey bathes in for 2-4 days. Another key to smoking is to maintain a low temperature, with the smoke continuously flowing. By soaking hardwoods (like apple, hickory, oak, maple, mesquite, alder, or cherry) for 30 minutes, the wood chunks will smolder in the fire instead of flame. This quick yet decadent honey mascarpone is a frosting or filling! Use seasonal fresh fruit that’s available (figs, raspberries, apples, dates, peaches, strawberries, etc). Mix in fresh herbs, spices, or use different extracts in the cheese mixture to vary the flavor profile. Top with granola, and drizzle with more honey! Frost vanilla cupcakes and chocolate cookies, or fill delicate crepes. Skip brûléeing the fruits and grate chocolate over the top! Kabocha (“Japanese pumpkin”) is so delicious! However, roasting it in local honey glaze renders it irresistibly tender! Don’t let it’s size intimate you! In both texture and flavor, it’s very similar to sweet potatoes. Kabocha has a very soft, fluffy flesh that’s surprisingly sweet and slightly nutty. It’s typically used is soups and sushi dishes. This recipe marries the sweet and spicy honey glaze with Japanese seasonings to enhance its inherent sugary goodness. The sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds, shicimi or furikake also adds just the right amount of crunch with a hint of smoky nuttiness. Delicious warm or cold. Do you love Oreos? This decadent honey filling recipe compliments our Thin Mint Cookies recipe which makes an abundance of dough. Instead of dunking cookies into a warm peppermint chocolate bath, two cookies are sandwiched together with a thick honey filling. The amount of Oreos depends on how many of the chocolate cookies (undipped thin mints) you can resist from eating to make Oreos with!
