Summer Camps at The Tech Interactive Galileo’s mission is to create a world of fearless innovators.

We think kids who learn to explore and fail without fear—the essence of innovation—are happier, more creative and more confident when faced with life’s challenges. Summer Camps @ The Tech Museum of Innovation offer both part- and full-day weeklong classes exploring everything from engineering and programming to medicine and cooking. Design your day just the way you like it—one class or two classes, extended care in the morning or afternoon, lunch—our accommodating schedule and wide range of classes make the possibilities (almost) endless.

Collaboration is fundamental to every part of our lives, from relationships to families to work. And research shows that working with a diverse group of people actually makes us smarter. But what does it really mean to be collaborative?

Being collaborative means:

✨valuing the perspectives of other people
✨building on other people’s ideas
✨using your strengths to help others

Want to practice at home? Start with a family brainstorm: a meal, a blanket fort, your next adventure. Let everyone add an idea, then figure out how to bring them together.

Keep the conversation going:

💬 What was someone else’s idea that you liked?
💬 What could you add to it?
💬 How did you help each other?

Today’s video is all about Dot Doodles! 💚 In this project, you will create a series of at least 8 drawings using just a dot 🔵🟢 You will need to be visionary to think beyond the last drawing to come up with something completely new!

This project takes just a few basic materials you have at home like a piece of paper, a few colors to draw with and a coin or something round. Challenge your family to join in and draw Dot Doodles, too. When you’re finished make a collage to hang on your wall or share on social media! Tag us when you do 👀

What’s for dinner? Let them decide 👀 Being visionary is all about imagining something that doesn’t exist yet, and the kitchen is a pretty great place to practice. This week’s challenge: Start with a recipe your kid already knows and loves, then let them change one thing. A new ingredient, a different flavor, an unexpected combination. Have them predict what’ll happen, taste the results and decide what they’d do differently next time. Will it be delicious? Maybe. Will it be innovative? Absolutely.

At Galileo, we believe big ideas can start anywhere. Even at the dinner table.
