When approaching the MBS, guests will travel thru the entry driveway and a tunnel under a restored dune habitat which shelters the MBS from Hwy 1 and approach the main entry into the resort, a multi-level open atrium which provides stunning views of the Monterey Bay and connects to the resort’s unique features, also linking the hotel and residential communities. It is a place where art, architecture, and nature merge into a unique environment created to provide healthy and inspiring haven to relax, reflect and restore. MBS restores and creates over 20 acres of dune and wetland habitats, as well as over 5 acres of public access, parking and trails and vista points to the beach . Five acres of living roof systems blend the resort seamlessly integrating into the surrounding landscape while at the same time providing habitat biodiversity and acting as a natural filter media for rainwater.
