Sanibel Florida is world renowned as one of the best shelling locations I've seen it vary from very few to literally millions - it can sometimes be hard to take a step without cracking shells. I suggest its best to go after a wind storm, at low tide, and early in the morning. Some people wade into the water to find extra large shells.

History: this full size Mississippi Riverboat was once beached just West of our Sanddollar C201 condo rental decades ago. It was used as a beach house by a wealthy family.
Its gone now but the land is open to the public as Algiers Beach.

Big storms in the Gulf with recent wild tidal swings means lots of shell potential. Go out at low tide especially early in the morning. We still have condo availability Oct 17-24. Ours is a 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms quiet end unit with direct beachfront and Gulf view. Includes: pool, sports courts, elevator, boardwalk to the beach, beach accessories and more.
