Former owner of Seahorse Cottages ( but it’s always in my blood) hereto let you know Seahorse Cottages building is still standing per these pictures below. You can see it in the bottom right. We also know it took on about 8 feet of water per a neighbor who rode the storm out on island but, as of yet, have not had eyes on it. Once Shauna has any info about its condition we will let you know. Please keep Sanibel and all its people as well as Fort Myers Beach and the Iona Section in your thoughts. They have a long road ahead but never was there a better group of people than them to accomplish this task.

Nearly 15 years ago when I first saw Seahorse Cottages I was instantly enchanted with them. For the last fifteen years through all the "stuff" that life throws at us, I have never lost that feeling every time I go back. "What an incredible way to make a living" became my daily mantra! Over the last years guests have become friends and some even "family" to us. So it was with mixed feelings that I accepted an offer from a buyer and sold the property which is now officially under new ownership and I am officially retired!!! I take with me the best of memories but leave everything else including my manager (and more importantly my friend) Shauna Frink in place to keep the cottages as magical as always. Thank you to everyone who has helped make sure that Seahorse Cottages remains the beautiful place it has over these last 15 wonderful years. "These moments we're left with...may you always remember...these moments were shared...by few. So drink it up...this ones for you. It's been a lovely cruise". All my best to all of you...Peggy
