It’s been more than a week since the Sanibel Causeway opened to the public, and we’re thankful to our elected leaders and those visiting our islands for making the reopening pleasant and safe.

Over the last three months, we've celebrated the success and recovery of our sister resort and encourage you to book your stay at 'Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa on Captiva Island.

We also understand that it's here at West Wind where your heart and memories are, and you're eager for updates. We completed a thorough review of the property and are grateful for your patience as we take the time necessary to craft the future of West Wind Island Resort in a meaningful way. Well, another year has come and gone — and 2022 will undoubtedly be remembered for a lifetime. Our barrier islands continue their positive recovery — as one by one, more businesses reopen.

And Monday, January 2, maybe the most obvious sign of our recovery: the opening of the Sanibel Causeway to all traffic. ‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa remains a full two weeks as the only full-service resort on Sanibel and Captiva.

The year 2023 will be not only a happy new year, but a happy renewal year for Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts. We have much work left to do to reinvent our legendary beach resorts, but we already have great and exciting plans to wow your vacation experience. And each month or on a more regular basis, we’ll share those plans with you.

From all of us, to all of you and your loved ones, may 2023 be a year of happiness, health, safety, security, peace, blessings and love. We hope to see you soon!
