Our FIRST spooky shell has officially been hidden at Ocean’s Reach! 🕵️‍♀️ Are you ready to hunt for a little Halloween treasure?

🔎 Here's your first haunting hint:

I’m hiding out where players play,
Toward the back not far away,
Look down low, don’t walk on by,
Beneath the board is where I lie!

🎃 Find the shell and bring it to the office to claim your prize! 🎁

Because a walk on the beach is great...but a walk on the beach with an SCCF expert who can tell you what on earth you are looking at is even better!

From shells and shorebirds to all the fascinating things that wash ashore, these walks are one of our favorite ways to experience the wild side on Sanibel!

The Sanibel Island Farmers Market is reopening for the season, and we couldn't be more excited! There's just something about a Sunday morning spent browsing fresh produces, local goodies, baked treats, flowers, and island finds that makes it officially feel like season on Sanibel!

The Sanibel Island Farmers Market opens its 19th season on Sunday, October 4, from 9 AM–1 PM at Sanibel City Hall. Come celebrate local growers, makers, bakers, and so much more—there’s something delicious waiting around every corner.

A Beach Walk With a Little Extra Meaning Today 💙

Today marks four years since Hurricane Ian forever changed Sanibel Island.

As we walk the beach today, we’re reflecting on just how far our island, and Ocean’s Reach, has come. The road back wasn’t always easy, but the resilience of Sanibel has been nothing short of remarkable.

We are incredibly thankful for our owners who believed in the future of Ocean’s Reach, our loyal guests who waited patiently and came back to support us, and this amazing island community that refused to give up.

Four years later, the Gulf is sparkling, the shells are still washing ashore, and Sanibel continues to remind us why this little island is so special. 🐚☀️

Thank you for being part of our journey. We couldn’t have come this far without you.
