Lots to share since my last post... I've been working on replacing orchids lost in the last 3 hurricanes, adding a couple dozen to trees giving privacy to our rooms along Periwinkle Way as well as building an orchid oasis in the back corner featuring a couple dozen hanging vandas. Beyond our property, I see tropical gardens along my daily walks, abundant wildlife, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets - some of the reasons Sanibel was just rated the 6th best beach town in the south by Southern Living for the second year in a row! August and September are an ideal time to enjoy the serenity of Sanibel's miles of beaches, hiking, and biking/walking trails. When it is approaching 100 degrees in your neighborhood, remember - Sanibel is surrounded and cooled by water from the Gulf and Caloosahatchee.

With the return of Aqua blue waters all around Sanibel, visitors have returned to Sanibel at pre-Ian levels enjoying all that Sanibel offers, from delicious restaurants to boutique shops, art galleries, and of course shelling (shell museum, shops, and beaches). Sanibel is once again the beautiful paradise that has drawn visitors for decades and we want everyone to come and see for themselves. In order to make it easier for you to treat yourself to a relaxing getaway with gas prices and airline tickets higher than normal, we are offering our summer special 2 months early.
