There’s a reason our Silkie chickens are such a favorite. Unlike chickens primarily raised for eggs, Silkies have been bred for companionship and are known for being particularly gentle, calm and people-friendly. Their unusual feathers give them their signature fluffy appearance, making them look almost more like little clouds with feet than chickens.
Next time you’re at Ojo, stop by and say hello to the flock. If they’re feeling friendly, you may even get the chance to feed them or hold one.
