Every October, Hyde Park Road turns into a river of gold, aspens lit up for miles, just a short drive from our door.

The Aspen Vista Trail runs right along the NM 475 scenic byway. The Aspens peak here in early to mid-October, and the first couple of miles carry you straight through the color.

Ever woken up to a sky full of hundreds of hot air balloons?

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world's largest hot air balloon event, lifts off October 3–11, just an hour from our door here in Santa Fe.

More than 500 balloons take flight at sunrise during the Mass Ascension. Some evenings bring the Balloon Glow instead, when the balloons light up after dark rather than at lift off.

Cheers to fall in Santa Fe!

The aspens are turning gold, and our terrace holds onto its last weeks before the season closes in mid-October. Roses climb the walls, and the beds below fill with orange day lilies and purple iris.

Fiesta de Santa Fe began this week!
