🏡🌴 HANNAH’S PEARL — AFTER HURRICANE ISAIAS 🙏❤️

Relieved - Thankful - Blessed beyond measure 💙

Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words, and this one certainly is to us!

Seeing Hannah’s Pearl standing after Hurricane Isaias, with what appears to be minimal debris and no obvious damage, brings an overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude. And knowing that our thoughtful neighbor went out of their way to send us this photograph makes it even more special. 💙

Our wonderful neighbor across the street, who lives there full-time and rode out Hurricane Isaias, ventured out to 30A at the entrance to our neighborhood today just to find enough Wi-Fi signal to send us this picture. What a blessing to have neighbors who care enough to do something like that!

Meanwhile, Andy and his team at Inspire Vacation, who manage a boutique collection of vacation homes for owners like us, have been working tirelessly assessing their properties following the storm.

Andy sent an email this afternoon sharing that, thankfully, the damage across the properties they manage appears to be minimal in the grand scheme of things. He has personally reached out to the individual owners whose properties required specific attention.

Thank goodness, we were not among those owners! 🙏

From what we can see, Hannah’s Pearl appears to have weathered the storm remarkably well, with what looks to be relatively minor debris cleanup.

Knowing Andy and his extraordinary attention to detail, I have every confidence he will be giving Hannah’s Pearl another thorough look to make certain nothing has been overlooked. That level of care and commitment is exactly why we appreciate him and his team so much.

We could not be more relieved or grateful!

Most importantly, THANK YOU to everyone who prayed for all those in the path of Hurricane Isaias, especially those who kept Hannah’s Pearl in their prayers. And to those who personally reached out to check on us and our home, please know how much your kindness means.

When you love a home as much as we love Hannah’s Pearl, it is difficult being hundreds of miles away, unable to see things for yourself. Having wonderful neighbors, a dedicated property manager, and thoughtful friends makes all the difference.

Our hearts are full of gratitude tonight.

God is good, and we are counting our blessings! 🙏🐚🌴

To our ROSEMARY BEACH® community,

Hurricane Isaias has passed, and our team is now on the ground assessing damage and beginning the work needed to reopen. Cleanup throughout the community will continue over the next few weeks.

Power is currently out throughout the community, and all Rosemary Beach amenities will remain closed until further notice.

Safety remains our top priority. We ask that you please avoid visiting the community and steer clear of debris and damaged areas while our crews work.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Isaias. Thank you to our homeowners, guests and neighbors for your patience and kindness this week, especially as we work to keep everyone updated with limited cellular and Wi-Fi service. We can’t wait to welcome you home again.

Sometimes the little comments make you smile the most. 💙🐚

I called Andy today to talk about a couple of “strategic” Hannah’s Pearl topics — whether it’s time to replace the TV on the dining porch and when we should change out the Pottery Barn rugs I’ve already purchased for three bedrooms, the upstairs sitting area and the Carriage House living room.

Yes… these are the things I think about. 😂

During our conversation, Andy told me the guests who checked out today said:

“This was the best one we’ve stayed in, and the attention to detail was extraordinary.”

That made me smile. 💕

We are very particular about Hannah’s Pearl because it isn’t just a rental property to us — it’s our home.

We furnish it with the things we use, the things we love and the things we would want surrounding us when we’re there. And we want our guests to feel that same level of comfort and care when they visit.

From the furnishings and linens to the kitchen, outdoor spaces and all those little details that probably get far more thought than anyone realizes — we want Hannah’s Pearl to feel special.

So when a guest notices the attention to detail, that might just be one of the best compliments we can receive. 💙

It means what matters to us is being felt by the people who stay there.

And yes… I’m still probably replacing that TV. 😂🏖️🐚

A LITTLE REMINDER FROM HANNAH’S PEARL 🏖️🤍

When you stay in a vacation rental, it’s easy to think of it simply as the place you rented for the week. But behind every privately owned vacation home is a real family who purchased it, furnished it, maintains it and has opened the door for others to enjoy.

Hannah’s Pearl is our home, and we truly love sharing it with our guests.

We also understand that accidents happen. Something may get broken or damaged during a stay — that’s part of owning a vacation rental, and we certainly don’t expect perfection from our guests.

Recently, however, we experienced something a little different.

A piece of furniture was damaged during a guest’s stay. The guest contacted our property manager, acknowledged the damage in text messages and explained that they had attempted to fix it. Unfortunately, the furniture could not be repaired, so a replacement had to be ordered.

The guest was then charged for the replacement — and disputed the charge with their credit-card company.

That’s the disappointing part.

Not that something was damaged. Accidents happen.

It’s that after acknowledging what happened, responsibility for making it right became an issue.

For us, this isn’t really about a piece of furniture. It’s about respect, honesty, accountability and how we treat something that belongs to someone else.

When you rent a privately owned vacation home, please remember that it really is someone’s home. The furniture, décor and everything inside were selected and purchased by someone who has trusted you to enjoy and care for their property.

So come to Hannah’s Pearl. Relax. Enjoy the beach. Swim in the pool. Make wonderful memories with your family. We want you to enjoy our home! 🌊☀️

And if an accident happens, simply be honest about it and take responsibility for making it right.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming majority of our guests who treat Hannah’s Pearl with care and respect. Those are the guests who make sharing our little piece of paradise so worthwhile. 🏡❤️
