Ever wonder what makes the beaches along 30A so beautiful?

One of our favorite things about the Emerald Coast is its incredibly soft, sugar-white sand. It’s made largely of tiny quartz particles that traveled over time from the Appalachian Mountains before eventually making their way to the Gulf Coast.

Pair that bright white sand with the emerald-blue water, and you get a coastline that’s pretty hard to forget.

It’s one of those things photos just don’t quite capture. You have to put your toes in the sand and experience it for yourself!

Ready to see it? Make Elsie’s Cove your home away from home while you explore beautiful 30A.
