Hurricane Isaias hit 30A yesterday. This is our beach access at the Salty Blonde. Our dunes... gone.

Those dunes have been the backdrop of our life in this stage. Our son Josh and his wife Maddie had a beach bonfire baby shower there. Our granddaughter Stella took her first steps in that Gulf. Our daughter Maddie got engaged to Gage on that beach, then married him on it. Every kind of family gathering, down to the quiet days with just a book and the sound of the waves, happened right there.

We’ve had this condo for 6 years, pretty much since our kids became adults. It’s the only way we know this stage of life.

We know the beach will come back. It just feels like a piece of home is missing right now. 🤍 thank you to all of the linemen and first responders working tirelessly to bring our little heaven on earth back together. And, much love & prayers to all who are struggling with loss.

The day after Hurricane Isaias 🌀 at The Tipsy Mermaid! 🌊🌴 We are feeling so blessed and grateful here in Panama City Beach. PCB was largely spared, and our power is already back up. Huge thanks to the incredible linemen working around the clock, our awesome neighbors helping each other out, and all the first responders keeping us safe.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all of our friends to the west who didn’t fare as well—we’re sending you so much love. ❤️
