One of my biggest retreat rules is to prepare as much of the food ahead of time as I possibly can.

I love feeding people, but I don’t host a retreat so I can spend half of it standing over the stove while everyone else is together in the other room.

So I plan meals that can be made ahead, assembled quickly, reheated easily, or put out without a lot of last-minute work.

That gives me time to actually sit down, lead the activities, join the conversations and be present with the women who came.

It sounds like a small thing, but meal planning can completely change how a retreat feels for the HOST too.

This is exactly the kind of practical stuff I put into The Peaceful Retreat Blueprint + Workbook — the things I’ve learned after actually doing this for five years.
