The final phase of construction work began on the 34-mile Adirondack rail trail between Tupper Lake and Lake Placid.

The Adirondack Rail Trail, upon completion, will span 34 miles from Lake Placid to Tupper Lake. The converted railbed is being turned into an all-seasons shared-use path for hikers, bikers, cross-country skiers, and snowmobile enthusiasts.
