Room 1 is 23 x 17 with a double bed, sofa & chair, table w/2 chairs, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, iron & ironing board, TV and DVD. Room 2 has an overall size of 16 x 14, however, the bathroom, with stand-up shower, occupies a portion of this space. This room also has a double bed. We can accommodate 4 people, 5 if someone doesn't mind sleeping on the sofa. Keep in mind that the bathroom is in
the smaller bedroom so be sure you're comfortable sharing. :)
Adirondack Fall Foliage Season Is Almost Here and we're in a FANTASTIC location! Check out the pictures we've posted of some of the great views near us! We know that it can be strange sharing a home with someone you don't know so we encourage you to read our reviews, we truly enjoy people and believe that once you're here, you're part of the family. Breakfast is included in your stay and is usually served around 9:00 a.m.. Typical breakfast fare may include eggs (fried or scrambled), bacon, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, and sausage gravy & biscuits. Our 1890s farmhouse is located on the south side Lyon Mountain (one of 100 highest Adirondack peaks). Surrounded on three sides by forests and hills, your privacy is assured. Pull into the driveway, park your car, unload your gear, and prepare to enjoy the wilderness. Additional amenities include a field stone patio with a table and seating for 5, a deck in front of the house and a charcoal BBQ grill, for your use. Wildlife in our area include: deer, turkey, fox, rabbits, squirrels and the occasional bear or moose. Things you might want to bring: bikes, kayaks, fishing poles, canoe, walking/hiking boots, cross country skis, backpacks, camping equipment, etc. Just out our door is the old D&H railroad bed which is popular with hikers, mountain bikers, 4-wheelers and snowmobilers. A 5 minute drive away is The New Land Trust, free and open to the public, with 230 acres of trail for walking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
