One simple Google search could save you hundreds of dollars on your next vacation rental.

Here’s a real example from Magnolia House Sarasota for Nov. 10–17:

Airbnb: $4,060
Book direct: $3,692

That’s a $368 difference for the exact same stay.

My tip: If the Airbnb listing includes the property’s name, Google it. Many vacation rentals have their own websites where you’ll often find a better rate, plus a few extra perks when you book direct.

Spend that $368 on an amazing dinner, a spa day, or a fabulous pair of shoes. Just don’t give it away in booking fees if you don’t have to. 😉

One of the questions I get most from guests is, “Where should we go for a great breakfast?”

Two local favorites I recommend again and again are Perq and Two Chefs Market & Bistro.

Perq is knowing for expertly sourced coffee beans, delicious avocado toasts and breakfast sandwiches, while Two Chefs Market & Bistro has built a loyal following for its fresh ingredients and house-made specialties like Bananas Foster French toast.

Both are just minutes from Magnolia House and are perfect for a leisurely Sarasota morning before heading to Siesta Key or downtown.
