“Where is Saratoga?”

Fair question. We’re a little tucked away out here in southeast Wyoming, right near the Medicine Bow National Forest.

People usually find their way here for fly fishing in the summer, snowmobiling in the winter, and hot springs all year long.

For road-trip reference, Saratoga is:
» 3 hours north of Denver
» 5 hours east of Salt Lake
» 5 hours south of Jackson
» 2 hours west of Cheyenne

After a dry winter in Wyoming, water conservation is not only important for locals, but visitors too.

🌊 A few general tips to keep in mind as you travel this summer:
- Use water refill stations rather than plastic bottles
- Pour any excess water or ice on grass or plants
- Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth
- Reduce your shower time, even just by 1-2 minutes
- Hang your towels up to reuse them during your stay
- If you notice a leaky faucet in your room or in a restroom around town, let the staff know immediately

🔥 Wildfires are a risk every summer, but especially after a dry winter. Remember:
- Properly extinguish all campfire by repeatedly drowning and stirring until cool to the touch
- Avoid driving or parking on dry grass or tall weeds

Every little bit helps to keep our home safe, so we can enjoy this season to the fullest. Do your part!

There’s something fishy about Saratoga, Wyoming...

You’ll spot trout everywhere here. On the welcome sign, painted on downtown murals, even in the motto: “Where the Trout Leap in Main Street.”

With the North Platte River running through town, it’s easy to see why fly fishing is so important to our community.

If you’re planning a fishing trip this season, we recommend planning early trips in May and June! And when you need a place to stay between floats, we're right here for you 🎣
