is such a quaint, awesome town to visit in southwest Michigan. The town has so many great restaurants and shops. Tons of nature trails and parks! Plus, one of the best beaches on Lake Michigan, Oval Beach - Saugatuck MI, is a short drive away.

Just ~2 hours from Chicago, 3.5 hours from Indianapolis, and just under 3 hours from Detroit.

We love this area so much that we decided to get a house in Saugatuck, Vera Saugatuck.

After a long hiatus from everyone's favorite, the Morel Dinner, we are overjoyed to announce the return of special dinners at The Southerner! Join us on December 7th as we celebrate our favorite pairing ever, fried chicken and sparkling wines. Chef Matt Millar has created a special 4 course meal to be paired with sparkling wines by our special partner for the evening, Megan from Veritas.

We have also partnered with our friends over at Wine Sellers of Saugatuck to fill your stockings and cellars with the spectacular bubbles we drink at the dinner.
