Forsyth Park Fountain, about 5 minutes
Mercer-Williams House, about 12 minutes
Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, about 15 minutes
Broughton Street and Leopold's Ice Cream, about 25 minutes
River Street, about 30 minutes

Not up for the walk back? The free DOT trolley stops about two blocks away.

About 2 hours from Savannah, a 45 minute ferry takes you to Cumberland Island. There you'll find beaches, forest trails, and wild horses roaming past the old Carnegie mansion ruins. 🐴

The majority of the island is protected through our National Seashore & tickets can be purchased for the park through the National Park Service.

Tip: reserve your ferry early. Boats sell out.

Looking for a great way to get around Savannah? Other than walking, which we admit, can get a little tiring, just hop on The Dot!

This free trolley runs a loop around the historic district, down to Starland Yard & back again. And luckily for our guests, it picks up & drops off just a few minutes walk from The Abilene!

Storm, shwarm....Nothing could keep folks away from Forsyth Farmers' Market today!

Thankfully, the storm didn't affect downtown Savannah this morning & folks were able to get out & enjoy the Farmer's Market, vendors & even a soccer game in the park.

The Abilene on Forsyth is steps away from all the fun. Come stay with us!

The best pizza in Savannah is a highly debated topic. And if we're being honest, there's not a very long list of places I'd recommend to guests.

But, specialspizza is going on the list!!! The storm brought some yucky weather & we decided to just stay in & order pizza & have this newer spot a try.

So glad we did. Great thin crust, sauce & cheese proportions were perfect! We went with a half regular & half mushroom.

Definitely give them a try!
