Saturday mornings in October, Savannah does two things really well: farmers markets and getting a little spooky by nightfall.

Walk over to the Forsyth Farmers' Market before it gets warm — it runs every Saturday this month, 9am to 1pm, right at the south end of the park. Then come back that same evening and the city's a different place: candlelit squares, oak trees dripping Spanish moss, ghost tour groups drifting past. Savannah leans all the way into October, and you don't have to go far from the house to feel it.

That's the trade-off of staying this close to the park — you get both versions of the city in the same day.

This weekend, our front door leads straight to a jazz festival.

The Savannah Jazz Festival hits Forsyth Park this weekend (Sept 18–20), free concerts and all — and it's a walk from our front door. No rideshare, no parking search, just walk over, listen for a while, walk home.

This is kind of the whole point of staying here.

You can walk to Forsyth Park from our front door. Not ""it's nearby"" walkable — actually walk there, coffee in hand, kind of walkable.

If you're here on a Saturday, the Forsyth Farmers' Market runs 9am–1pm at the south end of the park — local produce, coffee, baked goods, the whole thing. It's become one of our favorite ways to send guests off in the morning: grab breakfast at the market, walk it off under the oaks, come back to the courtyard for round two of coffee.

Savannah's a walking city, and this house sits right where that matters most.

Our guests always mention two things in their reviews: how well they slept, and how much they used the kitchen. That's not an accident. Every bed here is one we'd actually want to sleep in ourselves, and the kitchen is stocked to really cook in — not just reheat takeout. Real cookware, a knife that actually cuts, counter space you can spread out on.

After a full day of walking Savannah, you want a house that lets you slow back down. Come home, cook something simple, sit out in the courtyard while it gets dark. That's kind of the whole idea here.
