It's official!!
The Driftwood has new owners!

Our last day open for the season will be Sunday March 29th.

We are one of the few areas of the state that still has snow coverage enough to stay open. For how long, we just don't know. Each season we prepare our trails with our big rollers and Cat tracks, pressing down all of our lake-effect snow. The ice layer we create, becomes the base that you ride on most of our season, and is what carries us into these late-season days to ride. Because we are not able to prepare the roads, and we do not have the same amount of snow near Lake Superior (coupled with warmer ground temperature), we have lost the snow/ice in these areas. Fair riding is still available on our wooded trails and those areas not subject to the intense Spring sun. We ARE OPEN still, but please understand these are not the conditions you saw a month or two ago. If you choose to make the trip to our area, our local area businesses certainly thank you, and we ask that you still remain on the trails and between the blazers. Watch for changing conditions and use caution on the lakes. These are definitely late-season riding conditions, and we are not able to groom at this time. Thank you for your support again this GREAT SEASON!
