Captain Critters Country Campground is a pet-friendly campground with a deep love for animals of all kinds. Recently the campground manager reported a customer with numerous dogs that were being kept in deplorable, inhumane conditions. Fortunately the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Department issued a warrant and made arrangements to confiscate the dogs. There were 21 dogs transported to the Panhandle Humane Society in Scottsbluff where they were each examined for health concerns, bathed, given food and water, and a warm safe place to sleep. THANK YOU to Deputy Kale Hamilton and the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Department, the Animal Health Center, the Scottsbluff Police Department, the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, and the Panhandle Humane Society for saving and caring for these helpless animals.
A note from the campground owner:
Animals have no choice for their living conditions, and they have no voice. Captain Critters Country Campground would like to encourage you and all people to raise your voice, speak up whenever you see a situation of animal neglect or abuse. Any situation like this will NOT be tolerated here at Captain Critters.
