Did you know our buns are fresh baked and delivered 6 days a week? Our food is also delivered 5 days a week to insure freshest food! We hand chop every veggie, hand roll our smash burgers, season every (never frozen) burger, make homemade ranch and a ton of our sauces, hand bread and fry our onion strings, slow roast our beef & pork all for YOU! Carefree, AZ — Rural Metro Fire Department will be conducting a large-scale simulated fire training exercise at the Hampton Inn in Carefree on February 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Residents and nearby businesses may notice fire apparatus, emergency vehicles, and personnel operating at and around the property during this time. This is only a training drill and there is no real emergency.
The exercise is part of Rural Metro Fire’s ongoing commitment to preparedness, coordination, and public safety. Training in real-world environments allows crews to practice response procedures, improve teamwork, and ensure readiness for actual incidents.

There is no cause for concern. Temporary increased activity and visible emergency response operations in the area are expected during the drill window.

Rural Metro Fire appreciates the community’s understanding and support as crews conduct this important training to better serve Carefree residents and visitors.
