Los Cerritos Wetlands is a National Audubon Society Important Bird Area, included in the area defined as "Orange Coast Wetlands" which stretches from Los Cerritos Wetlands to Santa Ana River (Banning Ranch) and Newport Bay, an important part of the Pacific Flyway in SoCal. http://netapp.audubon.org/IBA/Site/205
