Encompassing over 7.4 acres of woods and pasture with 825 feet of frontage on a 40 acre lake, Hodgdon Pond Farm is private but accessible. The inlet and outlet of Hodgdon Pond as well as the entire opposite shore are owned and protected by Acadia National Park. Guests can enjoy swimming, fishing, and canoeing as well as seeing birds and animals including eagles, osprey, kingfisher, loon, beaver, f
ox, raccoon and deer, and occasionally otter, moose, and bear. The cottages are widely separated from each other. Each has frontage on the lake and its own dock, two kayaks, and a canoe. In addition, there is a utilty rowboat at Cottage 1 that guests staying there are welcome to use. Each cottage has three bedrooms and two baths, and contains over 1400 square feet of living space. The cottages are fully furnished and each has a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, radio, television, DVD, and charcoal grill. There is a booster seat, Port-a-crib and child gate in each cottage, and a swing-set and sand box on the property. We supply all linens and will send an inventory of each cottage on request or with the lease. Rentals are from Saturday at 4:00 PM until the following Saturday at 10:00 AM in Cottage 1 and from 5:00 PM to 11:00 AM in Cottage 2. We limit occupancy to 8 people per cottage, and charge $50.00 per person extra for groups over 7. We do not accept pets or smoking in the cottages or on the property.
