About 15 mins from the condo is Ft Stevens where you can find Battery Russell and the South Jetty. Two new places we visited yesterday. I'll tell you what the force of the ocean meeting the river is absolutely amazing and something I have never seen before. I definitely recommend checking out the mouth of the jetty.

You can also find the historical shipwreck of the Peter Iredale. I would recommend going during a low tide so you can get close and touch the wreck. A very great experience especially for kiddos.

Astoria is such a great little town. Did you know they have a trolley that you can ride? That's right they do. It's 112 years old and named Old 300! It has a wonderful history and the trolley operators tell the story so lovely. You can also get the history along the trolley tracks.

So how much does it cost? What if I told you $1 roundtrip or $2 for on and off all day!!! They operate until the end of October and start during spring break. They also do not run when it is raining due to track safety.

The drivers are all volunteers and they sell trolley merchandise on board if you are interested in obtaining a souvenir. Definitely a must check out especially if you have a little one.

How many times have you driven by Camp 18 either heading to the condo or leaving?

Several times for us. We never stopped until now! It's definitely a great stop to stretch those legs and go for a little walk while seeing a part of history.

Camp 18 is a historical logging landmark. They also have a cozy cabin restaurant! You definitely need to stop and check this place out.

Did you know that the Tillamook Creamery is only about 45 mins south of the condo? It's free to go in and learn how cheese is made.

Inside you'll get to see the step by step process. The gift shop has Tillamook products such as cheese, yogurt, ice cream and gifts.

If you're there during lunch time or evening you can catch an awesome burger and grab some ice cream or root beer float!

After a few days of storms that had thunder and lightning we are getting a beautiful sunset!

Looking forward to some more adventures in the next couple of days. As long as the weather plays nice we have a lot of new places planned to explore.

Over in Astoria you can climb to the top of the column. Prepare yourself for 164 steps to the top! BUT before you make the climb be sure to stop in at the gift shop and grab a wooden airplane to throw out once you reach the top.

Upon entering there is a trail called Cathedral Tree Trail. It's approximately 2 miles long with other trails. If you go during fall be sure to take some good traction shoes and or waterproof ones.

At the end of the trail you will reach the cathedral tree that you can go in. Such a beautiful hike and awesome tree!
