Sharing my poetry and personal story of being called to Belize 👇
Is Belize calling to you? Like truly calling you...
⛰️
In my experience, there is a unique energy about Belize. There are magical moments everywhere you turn. Nature speaks to you, strangers feel like family, and the ancient history courses through your veins like familiar stories you grew up listening to around the camp fire with your ancestors.
🌌
In my experience, one doesn't just "stumble" upon Belize. It calls you for a purpose, a transformation that you have been on the edge of, to awaken your inner most senses that perhaps you never remembered you had.

16 years ago, Belize started whispering to me. And when I didn't get the hint, it came to me with un avoidable urgency in a dream one night. I sat up in bed and proclaimed, "I know where I'm supposed to go. And I know whom I am supposed to connect with". So a girlfriend and I packed our backpacks and set off with very loose itinerary and the mindset to blow in the winds of change and adventure, trusting that Belize knew exactly what we needed and who to put in our paths to usher us through its Divine plan.

This poem is something I wrote on the plane ride to Belize that Spring. We actually experienced Easter during that trip. One might think it was likely a mere coincidence...but those that have been called to Belize, know better. 🇧🇿 🇧🇿 🇧🇿

Allow this poem to take you on a journey into the heart of Belize and the Mayan jungle. Is it calling you????
POEM:
👇
"His heart beats in cadence with the heavy drops of rain as he runs through
the jungle.
His chiseled muscles only reveal a tiny amount of his inner strength.
His deep lungs forcefully exhale the recycled oxygen that Mother Nature
sent him in the storm.
On his face, each permanent mark of war paint tells a unique story; from
centuries of being a sacred warrior.
Although he sits quietly in the shadows of the trees, he intensely watches
the spirits of the forest, prepared to die for his pride.
His soul dances to the drums of the jungle as his statue remains as stoic as the Roman Gods.
The world could be cured with the wisdom within his heart.
He is one with nature, continuously giving back to the world, by only taking when in need.
His soul matches the serenity of the jungle streams. He sits quetly. His
silence is one of the most radiant, sought after 'states' which the human
race has never known.
