The Ballard Bunkhouse is a duplex originally built as a single family home in 1901. It was converted to a duplex sometime in the 40's and has been lovingly renovated and restored. It is about 8 blocks to Market street and all Old Ballard has to offer with clubs, restaurants and music venues. Since both units accommodate 6 easily the bunkhouse has become a great stopover for bands performing at The
Tractor and other music venues in the area. The lower unit comfortably sleeps 6 with two bedrooms 1 1/2 bath and a pull out sofa. The space has an open floor plan with 10 and 11 foot ceilings and is great for entertaining. There is a Jack and Jill style bathroom between the two bedrooms that has a large two person whirlpool tub as well as rainfall shower. There is an in unit washer and dryer and TV's with satellite in both bedrooms as well as the Living area. Off the front living room there is also a real water closet - a closet converted to a 1/2 bath. The Upper unit has a spacious kitchen, a loft with a King Size bed, a queen size bed in the main floor bedroom and a queen in the airstream trailer in the backyard that also is included in the rental of this space. There is only one bathroom and it is an on-suite with the main floor bedroom. This second floor unit is very private and feels like you're in a treehouse.
