Her 1992 Toyota HiAce Grand Cabin “Urb” has nine original seats, zero build-out, and more community miles logged than most rigs see in a lifetime. Urb is the vehicle (literally) behind Trail to Taproom, Erica’s hiking and beer tour company.

The same van also pulls double duty for family camping trips across the Midwest.

Our week at Yakima River Club was equal parts productive meeting time + relaxing team bonding time

Wildfire smoke kept us indoors more than we would’ve liked but it was the perfect place to slow down and the Yakima river just steps from our cabin made it easy to access the outdoors.

We recapped 2026 so far and made plans for the future of HEST …including a few new products launching soon! 👀

As always with the HEST team, we shared a lot of laughs and Doug, our VP of Operations, kept us well-fed.

HEST started with a simple idea: sleeping outside should actually be comfortable.

After years spent rethinking sleep outdoors, our designers started asking another question:

Why should comfort stop when you get out of bed?

That question kicked off the design journey behind the HEST Foamy Camp Chair- taking everything we’ve learned about comfort, foam, and better rest and bringing it to relaxing around camp.

Because rest doesn’t start when you close your eyes. It starts when you sit down after a long day outside, settle in around the campfire, and decide to stay awhile.
