A lot of people come to Sedona for the hikes, but don't sleep on the food scene. 🌵🍸

One of my favorite ways to end a day exploring is with dinner at Lucida Desert Kitchen + Bar at Outbound Sedona. Start with a round of cocktails, order a few plates for the table, and settle in while the red rocks start glowing at sunset.

The menu pulls inspiration from the high desert with fresh, seasonal ingredients and flavors that somehow feel elevated without being fussy. Think shareable starters, fresh seafood, tacos, steaks, creative cocktails, and the kind of desserts you'll still be thinking about on the drive home.

And if you're staying at Outbound Sedona, the best part is that dinner can turn into drinks by the fire pits under some of the darkest skies in Arizona. ✨🔥

Your perfect Sedona weekend, mapped out 👇🌵✨

☀️ Start your morning with a sunrise hike. Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, and Boynton Canyon all deliver incredible red rock views before the trails get busy.

🦅 Next, head to the trails along Oak Creek or the wetlands around Dead Horse Ranch State Park for some of Sedona's best birdwatching. Keep an eye out for hummingbirds, Arizona woodpeckers, red-tailed hawks, great blue herons, and even bald eagles during certain times of year. Make sure to grab a bird watching kit from the front desk at Outbound Sedona!

💦 Spend the afternoon cooling off at Outbound Sedona. Pool, hot tub, cabana, repeat.

🍹 For dinner, grab a table at Lucida Desert Kitchen + Bar and order a few dishes to share while the red rocks start glowing at sunset. I recommend the Jicama and Citrus Salad with Salmon or The Crispy Fish Tacos.

🔥 End the night around the fire pits with Lucida's churros in hand, watching the stars come out over Sedona's famous dark skies.

🥾 BEST HIKES
• Cathedral Rock – iconic, steep, and absolutely worth it for sunrise or sunset.
• Devil's Bridge – Sedona's most famous photo spot. Go early because the line for photos gets long.
• Bell Rock – one of the best beginner-friendly hikes with incredible views.
• Boynton Canyon – a little quieter and one of my favorite places to experience Sedona's red rock landscape.

🌅 BEST SUNSET SPOTS
• Airport Mesa – probably the most popular sunset viewpoint in Sedona.
• Crescent Moon Ranch – incredible Cathedral Rock views with reflections in Oak Creek.
• Secret Slickrock Trail – less crowded and perfect for golden hour photos.
• Cathedral Rock overlook – if you time it right, the red rocks practically glow.

🏨 WHERE TO STAY
