A celebration of the people, places, and stories that make the Mother Road so special. We're proud to be part of this project and the incredible Route 66 community, especially as we celebrate its 100th anniversary!

TWO ABSOLUTE TRAVEL LEGENDS 🤩 Angel & Samantha Brown, the orginal travel influencer! iykyk 🙌 Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop

By far one of the coolest moments on this Route 66 journey was getting to meet the real life Angel of Route 66 himself, Angel Delgadillo!

Angel turns 100 next year, and no one has been more instrumental to this highway’s continued relevance than him. He formed the very first Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona and fought the government to ensure its preservation, leading to more preservation efforts in other states.

When you drive through Seligman where he lives and worked as a barber, you can visit his former barbershop at the Angel and Vilma’s Original Route 66 Gift Shop!

Bonus: Seligman is one of the inspirations for Radiator Springs from “Cars.”
