Happy Friday UP Nation!

The UP continues to gift us with incredible Autumn weather, Northern Lights, and beautiful color!

Spent a little time in the woods this week grouse hunting, and rolled to the Soo yesterday, can tell you first hand the colors are 75% or better in the Eastern UP. We've had some very breezy days and hard frost in the mornings (it was 21 degrees Thursday morning), but the leaves and colors are holding their own.

We are approaching mid October folks, so if you are considering heading north for the colors, now is the time.

We have a few cabins available next week and beyond if you are thinking of heading north, please give BoomTown Cabins a call for a 5 star stay!

And if you are thinking snow,...now is definitely the time to book for this winter....every year there are long icicle tears and sad faces because Ga***rd has zero snow, and Seney is sold out....so stop slacking and crack open that calendar....get your snowmobiling dates locked in,.... winter will be here before you know it.

Good Morning America!

Many thanks to those who participated and donated to this years BoomTown SXS Ride!

Anonymous certified checks totaling $1600 were sent to a local animal shelter, and the Upper Peninsula Honor Flight.

Things to do in Seney in May......

Trout season is now open, and opening weekend did not disappoint....scored a couple on the Tahquamenon in the rain, covered some beautiful country, caught our limit on the Fox on Sunday....Walleye and Pike opener is May 15th....

Waterfalls and Rock Hunting are awesome this time of year....no crowds, plenty of shore rocks piled up from the winter storms...very few if any bugs....Good reports of Agates to the north and east...

SXS/Dirt Bike/Quad riding is incredible right now....covered 37 miles scouting Brook Trout on Friday....trails and fire roads are smooth....very little dust....

Enjoy hiking, birding, biking, and nature? The Seney Wildlife Refuge is less than 10 minutes away.......30,000+ acres of untouched wilderness.....was Blessed yesterday to watch a wolf stalking a hen turkey in the Refuge, near the Driggs River....not something you get to see everyday!

Not sure what to do in the UP but always wanted to check it out?? I can assist you in planning your day trips, I have many adventures already put together, and can adjust them to your specific interests and "outdoor" skill level.

We have weekend openings throughout May, (and scattered throughout the Summer/Fall),....Cabin 3 is now open so we have more options for larger groups....our new cabins are turnkey, decked out in knotty pine, full kitchen, city water/hot showers....and each cabin has it's own propane grill, or cook over our custom firepit!
