Originally planned a camping trip to Lower/Upper Peppermint but had to change plans last minute to Kings Canyon due to Flume Fire. Grizzly Falls is right off the road. Only falls I know of in county that’s this easily accessible.

I’d been wanting to view Giant Sequoias dusted in snow for the longest time. Seeing many roads were closed with access to Sequoia National Park, Western Divide Highway “should” be accessible… and it was!!!

At about 2:15pm yesterday I had been seeing small particles of snow falling of which at first I passed as falling from the trees. I had to think back about 30 years to remember what traces of snow looked like.

Ever been to Lake Kaweah?

How about at night to view the sparkling sky full of wondrous stars?

Well, that’s just what we did tonight. Took advantage of the “Planetary Parade”. My kids saw a few of the planets, picked out constellations and we even monitored a few rockets.

Hello everyone, I haven’t posted in a while. I’m currently working on completing and trainimg for SoCal Six Pack of Peaks Challenge.
