Another January trip to Red Cedar Retreat in the books! The weather was rainy but we still had a great time. We checked out some new places to eat and packed up the Christmas decor. We watched our Chicago Bears win with a nice fire rolling.

July we came to have some fun with the family!! We had both of our kids with their spouses (I finally get to say that!🥰) and of course the cutest little red head ever my grandbaby Elsa! We went to the island, bowling in Pigeon Forge and the waterpark at Dollywood! The adult kids went golfing while we took Elsa to Bulls Gap to check out PaPa and NaNa’s shouse! We had dinner at a new/old spot. One of my regular diners changed its look and name.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood before the king, fully believing God could save them from the fire. But it was their "even if not" faith that set them apart. A faith that said, "Even if God doesn’t do what I hope, I will still trust Him. I will still worship Him. I will not bow to anything less."

As christians, this is our call: a faith that doesn't depend on outcomes, but on the unchanging character of our God. It’s easy to rejoice when prayers are answered, doors are opened, and the fire is put out. But true, unshakable joy is forged in the furnace, where we choose to believe that God is still good, even when life is not.

Annual January trip in the books! It was a much chiller visit LITERALLY! It was snowy and colder than normal. We were able to hit a few spots that stayed open and also just relaxed a bit more than usual. We got in the hot tub while it snowed! Magical!!! Had the fire place roaring! Helped out our neighbors. September 21, 2024. We had a beautiful wedding for our daughter and son in law in Gatlinburg. Celebrating followed at Red Cedar Retreat with the families and wedding party. Thank you for supporting our cabin and making these special moments possible!! Make your own family memories here.

We had another gorgeous weekend at the cabin. We are getting things ready for our daughter's big day!!! Wedding countdown!!!!
