Douglas Lake is a hidden gem that a lot of travelers miss. Only 20 minutes from the house. It is the perfect summer adventure. Kids rate it 10/10. They wished we rented the boat longer!

Pro tip #1: Always keep water shoes in the car; you never know when there is a good stream to walk. Pro tip #2: Always keep two sets of extra clothes in the car for when you inevitably fall in the stream you decided to walk or if you dance in the rain.
