One of the people who worked most closely with Dolly Parton is now mourning the Tennessee songbird while remembering his part in carrying on her legacy and work as one of the biggest honors of his career.

Eugene Naughton, president of the Dollywood Company, said that sitting down with Dolly and hearing about her dreams convinced him to leave a good job over 40 years ago and work alongside her to create Dollywood Parks and Resorts.
