Take your time, remember things might look closer on the map, and if you’re not into trees as measurement, 0.5 miles is about 4,000 bananas laid end to end.

I can’t wait. This is a wonderful improvement. Last time I was up there an elderly gentleman fell on the slick rocks. He came very near the edge and almost hit his head on the rocks. He was shake but ok. I am sure the hike down wasn’t easy for him.

✝️DID YOU KNOW? THE PIGEON FORGE CROSS?✝️

110 feet tall and weighs 30 tons! It is 65 feet wide! The basic structure consists of steel pipes that have walls 1/2" thick. The bottom section is four feet in diameter and is set in a concrete foundation 10 feet square and 14 feet deep. The outer skin is aluminum with a baked enamel finish. The finished cross is 7 feet square, but with a diamond shape, it presents a visible surface that is nine feet by nine feet. It was constructed on the ground and then set in place with a crane.

The cross was lit by First Baptist Pigeon Forge for the first time on Good Friday, in April 2022, to serve as a beacon to Jesus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Ain’t it great to live in America where we can raise the cross as a beacon of hope to our nation? 🇺🇸❤️

We went on one of their walks 20 plus years ago when Brooke and Keeley were little. It was an amazing and informative hike. Highly recommend them. I am getting ready to book one for my next trip

Everyone talks about how much they spend in the Smoky Mountains. They skip the reason the Smoky Mountains became the place to go - the mountains, nature, and the National Park. Here are some other things to do that don’t cost a fortune that you can do in the area.

It's a small town with the types of attractions and shopping you'd expect in a much larger city. Sevierville is also the hometown of Dolly Parton.
