Early morning trip through Cades Cove before driving home. We saw a few big bucks and some doe, lots of turkeys, squirrels, and raven/blackbirds and one bear. He was close but Laura had about given up on seeing one. Her phone was locked and she didn’t get it open before Piper barked and scared him. Soooooo, we only got a picture of his hind end. The bear was about ten feet off the road, crossed in front of us, and ran into the woods. I suggest going mid week and early to see the most wildlife

The City of Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism presents The Pigeon Forge Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, running September 25–October 26, 2025.

Visitors can explore town, meet friendly scarecrow figures, and join the fun by taking three themed photos for a chance to win prizes. Participants can snag free Pigeon Forge swag and even enter to win a VIP Card for a family of four with complimentary admission to select attractions and shows.
