In commemoration of America celebrating 250 yrs of independence, Robert painted the original painting "4th of July", which is now available in print. It represents with gratitude the freedom we are able to live and enjoy because of our forefathers' vision and tenacity that resulted in the signing of "The Declaration of Independence." Happy 250th Birthday America!

I am spending part of my birthday on part two of Project Peach Butter! Last year I only made a small batch, that was rapidly used up, so I decided to go big this year. Picked up 25 lbs of Georgia peaches from Lovedays. A few were used in peach baked oatmeal and peach compote from my guests this past weekend. I saved 20 lbs for the peach butter. Due to the size of my good stock pot I split it into two parts, and finished that first half on Wednesday. Today I have started on the second half and also mixed some sourdough bread. Busy morning!
