Our Smoky Mountains feel a little different. 💔

Dolly Parton was so much more than a country music legend. She was the heart of East Tennessee—a beautiful reminder that you can come from humble beginnings, dream bigger than anyone thought possible, and never forget where you came from.

The truth is, Parkside Resort may not exist today without Dolly and the incredible influence Dollywood has had on Pigeon Forge. She helped introduce generations of families to our mountains and played such a huge part in making this area the destination it is today. Her dreams created opportunities for countless local families and businesses—including ours.

She shared her music with the world, but she gave so much of her heart to the people right here at home. Her kindness, generosity, faith and love for these mountains will live on for generations.

There will never be another Dolly. We are heartbroken, but so incredibly proud that she called the Smoky Mountains home.

Rest peacefully, Dolly. We will always love you. 🦋
